Welded seam. No needle holes, but a hard crease folded repeatedly is where it eventually fails.
No vent on this item. Water stops at the coating; nothing lets the trapped air out.

This is a cover. It is not safety equipment, and it will not hold a boat in place. Check your mooring and your straps separately.
How to close it. Roll it at least three times. A single fold is not a seal. Push the air out before you clip it, and check that the roll is even across the full width. This bag is for keeping rain and spray off your gear on board. It is not diving equipment, it is not tested for submersion, and it is not a flotation aid.
Measure before you order. A cover that is too tight tears at the corners, and one that is too loose flogs in the wind and wears itself out. How to measure.
Everything we know about this item
Water column
5,500 mm
EN 20811, hydrostatic head, on the welded seam.
5,500 mm with welded seams. The fabric and the seams are not the limit on this product. The roll closure is, and it only works if you roll it properly.
Seam treatment
Welded
The seam is fused, not sewn. There are no needle holes. Welded seams are stiff, and a hard crease repeatedly folded in the same place is where they eventually fail.
Vents and condensation
No vents
Sealed by design. Anything damp put inside stays damp, and warm air sealed in on a cold day will condense on the inside wall. Pack things dry. A fully waterproof cover with no ventilation traps condensation underneath. That water comes from the air inside, not from rain. Vents let it out. The covers with vents are marked.
Fastening and wind
Roll-top closure
Not applicable.
Care
Do not machine wash
Wipe inside and out with a damp cloth and dry it open. Storing it rolled and damp is how the coating starts to smell.
UV test
Not tested
Not tested. We have no UV test report for this fabric, so we do not print a UPF number and we do not tell you how many seasons the colour will hold. What we can tell you is the fibre, the coating and the weight, which are below.
Fabric
Dimensions
Unrolled height. Rolled down three times you lose about 15 cm of height and roughly 20 litres becomes 15.
Your right to complain
You can report a fault for three years from delivery. For the first two years, if something is wrong, we have to show it wasn't faulty when you got it. Not the other way round.
ReklamationChanging your mind
You have 14 days to change your mind, counted from the day after you receive the goods. You do not have to give a reason. Every item on this site is a standard size, so the right of withdrawal applies to all of them without exception.
ÅngerrättIf we say no
If we say no to your claim and you disagree, you can take it to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN). It is free for you, and we will follow their recommendation.
