Class finder

We do not ask what your boat cost. We ask how long it is outside, and in what.

Four questions. The answer is a weather class and the reason behind it, including the cases where a lighter fabric is enough and buying up would be money spent on weather you do not have.

Already know the class? Read the full definitions or go straight to the shop.

01How long is it outside each year?

Not how much it cost. How long the weather has at it.

02What is it standing in?

Salt and sun age fabric faster than rain does.

03Does it stay put for months at a time?

A cover nobody lifts has to deal with its own condensation.

04What are you covering?

Some of these are not water barriers at all, and we would rather say so up front.

Answer all four and we will tell you which class, and when a lighter one is enough.

This tool recommends downwards when your conditions do not need the heavier fabric. It will also tell you plainly when what you are about to buy will not last where you are putting it.

We do not know how many seasons it will last. That depends on your sun, your salt and how often you wash it.
