5,000 mm. The sheet itself is a solid film, so water does not pass through the material at all; the number describes what the welded joints hold.

Seam treatment

Welded

The seam is fused, not sewn. There are no needle holes. Welded seams are stiff, and a hard crease repeatedly folded in the same place is where they eventually fail.

Vents and condensation

No vents

A closed clear panel will fog and run with condensation on a cold morning. That water comes from the air inside, not from outside. Leave a gap at one edge if the space has no other ventilation. A fully waterproof cover with no ventilation traps condensation underneath. That water comes from the air inside, not from rain. Vents let it out. The covers with vents are marked.

Fastening and wind

Buckles

Fasten at every stud along all four edges. A clear panel fastened only at the top will beat itself against its frame and crack along the fold.

Care

Do not machine wash

Warm water and a soft cloth. No solvent, no glass cleaner: they craze the surface. Never fold it in cold weather.

Not tested. Clear PVC yellows and stiffens with sun exposure. We will not tell you how long that takes for your location, because we do not know.
